Jim Bose, Ph.D., PE
Executive Director - International Ground Source Heat Pump Association
I had the opportunity to observe the installation of a ground source heat pump system here in Stillwater, Ok by your company and it was one of the best jobs Ive seen in the 30 years of being involved in this industry. This included your company personnel, the technology and equipment used and the complete satisfaction of the customer Mr. Gerald McClain.
It is unusual to see the interaction of your employees with the customer and their willingness to answer questions while working with a sense of pride and accomplishment. They gave the impression that they were proud of what they were doing and held a very deep respect for you and their supervisors while working independently and unsupervised. If having a professional work force is any indication of your continued and future success, then your company personnel and the job quality they are delivering are certainly up to the task.
I feel strongly about the quality of your company that I whole heartedly recommend you and your employees to all seeking geothermal heat pump services.

Wherever you live, the temperature beneath your home remains constant regardless of the season. ClimateMaster Geothermal Heat Pump Systems harness the stable underground temperature to provide heating, cooling, and hot water at remarkably high efficiencies. So high, in fact, that energy use can be cut by up to 80%.
As the world's largest and most progressive leader in clean, renewable geothermal technology, ClimateMaster leads the way with its award-winning Tranquility Series geothermal heat pumps.
Using the Power of the Earth
Nearly half the solar energy our planet receives is absorbed by the ground.
As a result, below the surface the earth remains a constant moderate temperature year-round. This provides an ideal source for heating and cooling your home. Geothermal systems use a sealed underground piping loop filled with circulating water and an ultra high-efficiency Tranquility heat pump to exchange heat between your home and the earth.
In the winter, the earth is your source of heat.
Water circulating in the piping loop absorbs heat from the earth and carries it to the heat pump, where it is concentrated and sent as warm, comfortable air throughout your home.
In the summer, the earth is your source of cooling.
The heat pump absorbs heat from the air in your home and transfers it to water circulating in the piping loop where it is absorbed by the earth. This provides cool, dehumidified and comfortable air throughout your home.
How Geothermal Saves Money
Unlike traditional systems that use the air to heat and cool your home, ClimateMaster systems circulate water through a system of sealed underground piping loops that carry heat to and from the earth to the system. In the heating mode, the system uses the heat from the water to warm air that circulates throughout the house. In the cooling mode, the system reverses the process, taking heat out of the home's air and circulating the resulting cool, dehumidified air instead.
Because the system has less work to do to reach the desired temperature setting throughout the year, the system is highly efficient and lowers operating costs. A fossil fuel furnace may be 80% to 90% percent efficient; a geothermal heat pump is amazingly 450% efficient.
Another advantage to a geothermal system installed in a new home is that from day one you will be cash flow positive, as the cost of the system each month is lower than the savings you realize on your monthly energy cost!

Back to Geothermal
Geothermal Technology is proven technology
Geothermal systems have been used for over 40 years and millions of units have been installed world-wide in commercial and residential applications.
Geothermal heat pumps are the most energy-efficient and environmentally friendly HVAC systems available
Geothermal technology uses a series of sealed piping loops buried in the ground that tap the renewable energy of the earth. These loops create a better heat transfer medium than traditional air source systems. It is so efficient that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has stated:
"Geo exchange systems are the most energy-efficient, environmentally clean and cost-effective space conditioning system available today"
Geothermal systems are eligible for federal tax credits and state incentives
Geothermal Heat Pumps keep your entire house comfortable year-round
A new geothermal heat pump system from ClimateMaster heats or cools on demand and provides better comfort and humidity control. All ClimateMaster systems can be easily adapted to zoned systems, providing even greater comfort year-round.
A geothermal system can be used to provide free hot water
All ClimateMaster Geothermal Heat Pumps Use Earth Pure Refrigerant
EarthPure is a non-ozone depleting refrigerant and has no significant advantages over other refrigerants that harm the environment.
No outdoor units
Geothermal heat pumps from ClimateMaster use units that are placed in a basement, garage or utility room. This helps reduce noise, improves the look of your home and leads to longer system life.
All ClimateMaster geothermal heat pumps are engineered for long equipment life
All ClimateMaster systems are factory sealed ensuring quality. With indoor installation eliminating exposure to the elements, your new system lasts longer than traditional systems that are outdoors. Each compressor is engineered to moderate the compressor load, extending system life.
Self-contained compact units
A wide variety of configurations including upflow, horizontal or downflow can be hidden from sight. Split systems are compact enough to be installed in closets.

Tranquility Packaged Systems
The Tranquility Series provides you the most energy savings of any space conditioning system available. The advanced two-stage compressor and variable speed fan maximize efficiency while EarthPure Ozone Safe refrigerant provides unprecedented environmental protection. The system is so sophisticated it automatically adjusts itself to provide the optimum, consistent indoor air temperatures regardless of the weather extremes. The system is engineered for quiet, efficient operation and comes in multiple capacities with both horizontal and vertical configurations.
Available from 1.5 to 6 tons and primarily used in new construction type projects. However, existing homes that meet the space requirements for this system are greatly benefited. Suitable locations for this system are in a garage or indoor closet, or homes featuring an encapsulated foam attic.
The innovative design of the Tranquility Split offers all the features of the Tranquility Package System and a variety of cost-saving installation options available for the first time with a geothermal system. The indoor split system may be placed in a suitable location within the home eliminating the space requirements of the packaged system, and the need for outdoor equipment. ClimateMaster's electric air handler, or a gas furnace featuring ClimateMaster's air coil, replaces the homes existing indoor equipment with no need for relocation of the system or ductwork, reducing installation costs.
Available from 2 to 5 tons (whole ton sizes only) and primarily used in existing homes for retrofit.
Tranquility Outdoor Split Systems
Some homes may have such limited space that even an indoor split system cannot satisfy. In this case, the Tranquility Outdoor Split offers all the features of the Tranquility Package System and brings cost-saving installation options to the homeowner. The outdoor split system replaces your current outdoor air conditioner or heat pump, while ClimateMaster's electric air handler, or a gas furnace featuring ClimateMaster's air coil, replaces the homes existing indoor equipment. The outdoor split system features a waterproof steel enclosure to protect the equipment from the enviroment and eliminates the loud fan motor of today's conventional air conditioner's and heat pumps. Homeowner's are pleased to invite family and friends to their backyard BBQ without having to talk over loud equipment.
Available from 2 to 5 tons (whole ton sizes only) and primarily used in existing home for retrofit.
Hot Water Generation
The Hot Water Generator (HWG), or desuperheater, option provides considerable operating cost savings by utilizing excess heat energy from the heat pump to help satisfy domestic hot water requirements. The HWG can reduce hot water operating costs by 45-55%.
The HWG is active any time the heat pump is operating, providing virtually free hot water when the heat pump operates in cooling mode and hot water at the efficiency of the heat pump in the heating mode. Electric water heaters that feature dual heating elements (upper & lower) are recommended. However, a gas or propane water heater can be used, but requires a second preheat tank that must be installed. If the electric water heater has only a single heating element, the dual tank system is recommended.
It is always advisable to use water softening equipment on domestic water systems to reduce the scaling potential and lengthen equipment life. In extreme conditions, it may be necessary to avoid the use of the HWG option since the potential cost of frequent maintenance may offset or exceed any savings.

What Is A Geothermal System?
Very simply, a geothermal system is the most advanced, efficient, adaptable, and cost effective heating and cooling system in the world today.
Why Should I Buy A Geothermal System?
Geothermal systems promise tremendous savings over the long term as compared to such traditional sources of energy as oil, electric resistance, natural gas, or propane. Annual heating bills are anywhere from 50 to 80% lower, depending on the system that is replaced. A geothermal installation pays you to own it! Geothermal energy is not subject to rising costs or unpredictable price swings, and is not transported over long distances. It is always available, right beneath your feet!
Besides The Great Savings, What Other Benefits Does A Geothermal System Have To Offer?
Geothermal systems offer a range of outstanding benefits to the homeowner, including:
Comfort: In homeowner surveys, geothermal systems are routinely ranked as "more comfortable" than traditional gas, oil, or electric systems. Geothermal systems get rid of the sudden temperature and humidity changes that traditional systems are prone to, as well as the occasional odor caused by combustion of fossil fuels.
Hot Water:You will benefit from free or reduced cost hot water. A geothermal system will heat your water 2 to 3 times more efficiently than a regular hot water tank.
No Noisy Equipment: Since the geothermal system also provides air conditioning, no noisy traditional outdoors unit is required.
Low Maintenance: Cleaning the electrostatic filter once a month is all that's needed to keep the system in good running order.
Safety: Geothermal systems have no flame, no chimney, and no danger of fire or carbon monoxide poisoning. No more worrying about deadly natural gas leaks.
Long System Life: Geothermal units have a life expectancy of at least 20 years.
Does A Geothermal System Help The Environment?
Geothermal systems are totally non-polluting. In fact, installing a geothermal system to replace a fossil fuel system immediately cuts your personal emissions contribution by 50%, or the equivalent of taking several cars off the road. Additionally, in certain regions, replacing an electric resistance system in your home with geothermal can drop your indirect emissions load by a substantial amount.
Geothermal systems are clearly the environmental wave of the future.
Who Is The Ideal Customer?
Anyone who is tired of paying the high and unpredictable costs of heating with fossil fuels, who likes a quiet, safe, long-lived system that also offers optimum comfort!
What is the Future of Geothermal Energy?
Geothermal energy has a very promising future. The cost-efficiency of geothermal energy will only continue to improve, as geothermal technology is periodically upgraded, and as fossil fuel prices continue to rise. The era of inexpensive fossil fuels is over, and geothermal offers better and better savings to the consumer with each passing year. More and more consumers now see geothermal as a lifestyle choice, surpassing traditional fossil fuel sources in comfort, adaptability, longevity, and safety as well as in price.
